The GEL-KINSEI 3 uses slimlined materials for weight reduction stronger materials for added structure and support and redesigned and engineered components for improved comfort fit and performance. The GEL-KINSEI 3 now provides a lighter stronger more comfortable adaptive platform to enhance natural gait efficiency. Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) - ASICS Design Philosophy. Employs linked componentry that enhances natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. Guidance Line - Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency. Heel Clutching System - Exoskeletal heel counter provides improved support and creates improved heel fitting environment. Discreet Heel Unit - Takes the Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) to a new level by creating our highest degree of shock attenuation and stability. Propulsion Trusstic - Mimics connective tissue in the foot by creating tension as the foot enters propulsion stage. Asymmetric Lacing System - An anatomically correct lacing environment that reduces potential for irritation and provides improved comfort and fit. Cuprothermo - Metallic film in the upper that retains heat in cold weather and releases heat in warm weather. Rearfoot and Forefoot Gel Cushioning - Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. X-40 Comfordry Sockliner - Provides cushioning performance and anti-microbial properties for a cooler drier healthier environment. AHAR+ - This is thinner and lighter version of ASICS High Abrasion Resistance rubber. It is placed on heavy contact areas of the outsole to reduce excessive wear. Personal Heel Fit (P.H.F.) - 2 layers of memory foam line the collar and mould to the athletes heel creating a personalized fit. Discreet Eyelet - Improves upper fit while reduces possible irritation.
